XBOX POINTS JUST GOT REAL

Just read a piece in the forbes magazine about xbox live game points being converted to real currency for purchases in microsoft stores. I think most serious gamers have been waiting for a moment like this and it's a nice move on the part of microsoft. Gaming is finally living up to it's real meaning in the twenty first century. People go to casinos or bars and clubs to use slot machines which are then converted into real currencies so why not video games. Though still in it's early stages i hope this will be built on  and currencies like bitcoins will be substantiated sooner than later. Some of us have gathered a lot of tokens from playing  games and can not wait to convert it into real cash for other purposes. THE PORN INDUSTRY AND STD'S

The porn industry is been going through some challenging times and it's high time they address the issue of safety and pleasure. Some in the industry have claimed wearing condoms in porn does not sell and as we all know it's all about selling. Recent events from Mr. Marcus, Cameron Bay and a host of adult stars has been troubling and has shed a new light on a troubling issue of STD transission. California is having a tough time legislating the use of condom in  the porn industry because of significant opposition from the porn industry. They have made claims about being safe because they are regularly tested as they claim. Testing regularly is not an answer to the issue of preventing STD's. The industry forgets actors/actresses have lives outside porn and that is where the risk lies in this issue. People go home everyday and am sure some of them have partners or even go on to engage in high risk behaviors outside. So rather than being naive they should be open to introducing serious safety measure to prevent what could become a serious epidemic in a very lousy industry to say the least. HYPERLOOP AS SOLUTION FOR LEAP FROGGING HIGH SPEED RAIL

The world was shocked when one of the prominent players in the tech world made a bold public transportation proposal. Well if you are guessing what I am talking about the details is in the title of this piece. First world countries around the world are all fascinated with the concept of high speed rail  and some have already gone ahead to invest billions in building them. I remember when European countries were making a proposal for the construction of it's high speed rail line, there was a lot of skepticism about public safety and financial cost. Engineers had to come out and defend the concept and government justified the cost in the name of public good. One of the only countries in the world that never moved ahead with it's own fast rail line is the U.S. Am sure most people would wander why such a wealthy nation never took it serious. I think members of congress and the transportation committee should throw out the concept of a fast rail line. After all Elon Musks concept makes the fast speed rail look obsolete in terms of speed, engineering and cost*. California's high speed rail is set to cost up to $70 billion and anyone  that's familiar with the its budget knows it would be difficult to come up with the money. But thing is that the federal government intends  to foot most of the bill for high speed rail. The government has already appropriated billions which have been wasted on old rail lines in the name of high speed rail. The Hyperloop(travels 750MPH) is a new concept and requires building from scratch and if allowed  to materialize will put the U.S light years ahead of the world in terms of public transportation. Elon Musk should be taking seriously and consulted in the construction of Americas future transportation.  Read a great piece about the hyperloop @ http://www.dailynews.com/opinion/20130819/is-hyperloop-an-escape-from-old-technology

GOOGLES BALLOON INTERNET SERVICE

Google is at it again with the idea of floating balloons in the air that will provide access to the internet. I think this idea is a great idea that will help connect people in remote areas. The growth of the internet depends partly on increasing access to people around the world. We are still witnessing the developments that helped shape the 90's and  to some people around the world, they will be relieving what others now take for granted. I wish all new users especially in remote areas the best!
