THE PORN INDUSTRY AND STD'S

The porn industry is been going through some challenging times and it's high time they address the issue of safety and pleasure. Some in the industry have claimed wearing condoms in porn does not sell and as we all know it's all about selling. Recent events from Mr. Marcus, Cameron Bay and a host of adult stars has been troubling and has shed a new light on a troubling issue of STD transission. California is having a tough time legislating the use of condom in  the porn industry because of significant opposition from the porn industry. They have made claims about being safe because they are regularly tested as they claim. Testing regularly is not an answer to the issue of preventing STD's. The industry forgets actors/actresses have lives outside porn and that is where the risk lies in this issue. People go home everyday and am sure some of them have partners or even go on to engage in high risk behaviors outside. So rather than being naive they should be open to introducing serious safety measure to prevent what could become a serious epidemic in a very lousy industry to say the least. HYPERLOOP AS SOLUTION FOR LEAP FROGGING HIGH SPEED RAIL

The world was shocked when one of the prominent players in the tech world made a bold public transportation proposal. Well if you are guessing what I am talking about the details is in the title of this piece. First world countries around the world are all fascinated with the concept of high speed rail  and some have already gone ahead to invest billions in building them. I remember when European countries were making a proposal for the construction of it's high speed rail line, there was a lot of skepticism about public safety and financial cost. Engineers had to come out and defend the concept and government justified the cost in the name of public good. One of the only countries in the world that never moved ahead with it's own fast rail line is the U.S. Am sure most people would wander why such a wealthy nation never took it serious. I think members of congress and the transportation committee should throw out the concept of a fast rail line. After all Elon Musks concept makes the fast speed rail look obsolete in terms of speed, engineering and cost*. California's high speed rail is set to cost up to $70 billion and anyone  that's familiar with the its budget knows it would be difficult to come up with the money. But thing is that the federal government intends  to foot most of the bill for high speed rail. The government has already appropriated billions which have been wasted on old rail lines in the name of high speed rail. The Hyperloop(travels 750MPH) is a new concept and requires building from scratch and if allowed  to materialize will put the U.S light years ahead of the world in terms of public transportation. Elon Musk should be taking seriously and consulted in the construction of Americas future transportation.  Read a great piece about the hyperloop @ http://www.dailynews.com/opinion/20130819/is-hyperloop-an-escape-from-old-technology

GOOGLES BALLOON INTERNET SERVICE

Google is at it again with the idea of floating balloons in the air that will provide access to the internet. I think this idea is a great idea that will help connect people in remote areas. The growth of the internet depends partly on increasing access to people around the world. We are still witnessing the developments that helped shape the 90's and  to some people around the world, they will be relieving what others now take for granted. I wish all new users especially in remote areas the best!

THE BRUHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ABOUT THE FLU

We have heard alot of buzzzz about the flu both regular and swine flu which makes me wander if this is the new virus in vogue!!the truth is that we have had this virus for centuries and some of us have heard about the untold deaths that this virus has ricked on europeans and other ethnnic groups around the world. it's sad that inspite of the success that modern medicine have achieved in curbing this virus it still kills about 36000 people annually as the recent report states. why do 36000 people have to die from such an ordinary virus whose treatment and prevention have been figured out. besides why do we have to go through the stress of curbing this virus every year and still not achieve a remarkable victory over this virus. 36000 to me is a lot of numbers and a shame!! it's unacceptable that this has to happen under our watch. why is it that most of us are not proactive when it comes to preventing this virus from wreaking havoc on our won kind. we seem helpless before this little monster that can only be detected under the microscope. why isn't the annual casualty level far less or zero if people think zero is unrealistic. i plead to everyone out there to take the necessary steps in knowing about this ruthless little monster and to stop its destruction! follow this link if you want to read about the flu http://www.cdc.gov/FLU/about/viruses/index.htm

STATE TAXES ON ONLINE INTERSTATE COMMERCE

Once again the devil is coming back in this recession or recovery which ever one you are going through. State legislators are thinking about how to impose state taxes(Amazon laws) on shoppers who shop online with companies that are located outside their state of residence. Apparently, States are trying to use this to make loss revenues due to the decline in State revenues. This is really bad news for consumers as far as some of us are concerned. Its ridiculous how legislators are trying to impose online sales taxes on goods and services we buy via the web. When legislators start talking about about taxes they are not going to give up unless they achieve what they have set out to achieve that is tax consumers to death even if not healthy for the current economic condition. By the way New York is among the States pushing for this measure so watchout!!

HUMAN PSYCHOLOGY IN PRIORITIZING RISK

I was reading Parade magazine last time and i came across an article that's about the way people in general view life risks. i thought it was interesting to know that most people are more scared of a shark attack than say a vehicle accident which is more common compared to shark attacks which we barely encounter, unless we find ourselves in the wrong side of the beach. when one compares both scenarios that i have already mentioned though this is just a fraction of reality about what people are scared of it gets interesting. I suppose the familiar we are with a certain risk the easier it is for us to deal with it and the lesser our level of fear. send a comment by comparing your level of fear. check this pix out which of the three are you afraid of!!! i know this scene is bizzare but whatever!!

JON, KATE & 8 THE CURRENT FAMILY BROKEN BY REALITY TV

I was shocked when i heard Jon & Kate where going through a divorce alledgely due to Jon's extramarital affairs and we actually witnessed some parts of this in reality when he was shown on TV with a bunch of swim suit models all over him. he just seemed to be enjoying his fame as a dad of 8 children and then a cheating hubby at the same time. its very sad things turned out this way because when i first saw the show on TV, i taught to myself wow!! there is hope for people who intend to have larger families but feel it's impossible to have one in this 21st century economy. i guess they just proved the case that its not doable in this day and age. perhaps if Jon had not ditched the family, the show will have been a hit show in this current economic crisis. After all there are no jobs and yet there is a lot of work to do. one will probably ask why i am concluding that the show would have been a hit show when in fact people are thinking about how to make and save money. i personally think this is a time some people will use in getting their house in order. After all this times are hard and i will rather use it to build and prepare for the future rather than wreck it! Jon should apologize to Kate rather than try to make her life miserable by going after the money. how does he expect the kids to be taken care of when he is running around with swim suit models from vegas!!
